Pen sketch from 2006.
I had always thought it was an amazing room: the converted attic of a crumbling inner city terrace house. So while my flatmate was on holiday overseas, I sketched his room. The chair empty reminded me of a Vincent Van Gogh painting, Paul Gauguin's Armchair. Vincent had painted Gauguin's chair as a tribute to his absent friend.
